How to Play Peru Kabala

The game uses a simple single-matrix (6/40) format. This means that it is incredibly easy to play, even if you are relatively new to playing the lottery.

To get your hands on a ticket, you will need to select six numbers from a number pool that ranges between 1 and 40. There is no need to worry about choosing any additional or extra numbers.

Like with almost all lotteries today, there is a quick pick function available. This allows a random number generator to select numbers on your behalf.

After you have your numbers, you will need to decide if you want to play using a combination entry. This is another name for what you may already know as system play.

Doing this allows you to pick up to 15 numbers rather than the standard five. These numbers are then entered in various combinations, improving your chances of winning.

A single ticket costs S1 (roughly US$0.28). If you choose to play with combination play, this will cost more.

There is also a great secondary game called Chau Chamba that you can add to your ticket for an additional S1. This uses the same numbers as you have originally chosen for a draw taking place after the main draw.

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 3,838,380, which are pretty good compare to most other lotteries.

However, considering the minimum jackpot is only S150,000 (about US$41,500), these odds are actually rather disastrous.

The overall odds of winning a prize are slightly better at 1 in 13.

As we said above, the minimum jackpot is not really anything to get overly excited about. However, what makes it better is the fact that the jackpot rolls over each time it remains unclaimed.

There is no limit to how many times this jackpot can roll over. This can result in jackpots that could at least be considered decent. Or so one would think.

Drawing Time

While the lottery states that the jackpot has reached impressive amounts in the past, we couldn’t find many of these during our research.

The one that we did find was back in 2012 when the jackpot reached S1.5 million (around US$415,110).

Payout Options

Peru Kabala doesn’t offer any annuity option. This isn’t surprising considering that the jackpot is not nearly high enough to justify being paid out over a long period.

Therefore, all prizes are paid out as a cash lump sum. All prizes must be claimed within 180 days from the date of the draw.

Taxes

Any lottery winnings under S19 are free from any tax.

This is a rather pathetic exemption because any winnings over S19 are subject to 10% tax.

Peru Kabala – Is It Worth Playing?

Let us not make any illusions about the fact that Peru Kabala is a decent lottery. With the addition of the secondary draw and a very simple method to play, this game is one you should look at.

However, the jackpot just isn’t anything to get excited about. Even the highest jackpot that we could find in the history of the game pales in comparison to the jackpots of just about any other lottery.

So, while some people might like this game, especially those who enjoy combination play, we just aren’t very excited about it.

Sadly, one of the most important things about the lottery is the excitement that you have when playing. Without that, Peru Kabala is just another game that will still disappoint you even if you don’t expect much.
