HoneypotLotto Review 2024
***AS OF 2020, HONEYPOT LOTTO IS NO LONGER AN ONLINE LOTTERY SITE THAT OPERATES ITS OWN MICRO LOTTERY BUT RATHER A COMPANY THAT LICENSES ITS MICRO LOTTERY TECHNOLOGY TO OTHER COMPANIES AND INDIVIDUALS.***
There as a seemingly endless number of lottery websites available online today, but one relatively new site is putting a unique twist on them by greatly changing the odds of how players can win. Honeypot Lotto was launched in 2017 and is owned and operated out of Malta by Honeypot Lotto Limited. In this Honeypotlotto.com review, we will take a look at what the website allows players to do and what their lottery is all about.
How Does Honeypot Lotto Work?
Entering into any of the Honeypot Lotto draws could not be easier. To begin with, you will need to register a player account. This can quickly be done in less than five minutes on the website by clicking the ‘Sign Up’ button. You will be required to submit your name, email address, date of birth, physical address, and a password. After accepting the terms and conditions, you will be sent an email to confirm your account. Clicking the link in this email will activate your player account, and you will be able to continue and purchase tickets for your selected draw.
Buying tickets is incredibly easy—so easy in fact that you do not even need to pick any numbers like in traditional lotteries. All that is required is to select which draw you would like to play in (or more than one if you feel so inclined), choose the number of tickets you would like for each draw, and proceed to pay.
Once paid, your tickets will be issued to your player account. Each ticket that you have purchased will be given a unique ticket number. These ticket numbers are what is entered into the draw. Should your ticket number be drawn at the time of the draw, you’ll be a winner.
Is Honeypotlotto.com Legit or a Scam?
Honeypotlotto.com is relatively new to the scene when compared to other sites. However, they seem to know what they are doing. Their terms and conditions are pretty solid and cover everything that you would want them to cover—even if there are a few more things we would have liked to see in them. It is also clear that the T&C were made specifically for the purpose that they are being used for and not just copied and pasted from somewhere else—something that would be a significant source of concern.
There is one thing, however, that concerns us slightly. There is no mention in the terms and conditions as to how the draw is handled and whether all the entered lottery ticket numbers are securely released before a number being drawn. That being said, the site operates under a gaming licence issued by the Malta Gaming Authority, so we have no reason to believe that they aren’t doing everything above board or that they can’t be trusted—at least until proven guilty.
User Experience
The Honeypot Lotto website looks excellent and is easy to use. All navigation is accessible via the handy horizontal menu bar located at the top of the site, and it is effortless to see where you would like to go.
Unfortunately, there is no mobile app available if you would like to play while on the move. Thankfully, the site works well on mobile devices when accessed through the device’s native browser.
Lotteries Available
Unlike other online lottery sites that allow you to play in international lotteries, Honeypot Lotto runs their own lotteries. These lotteries occur every seven days or when all the tickets have been sold for a particular lottery.
Aside from these lotteries being drawn each time that they are sold out, Honeypot Lotto draws also have something else unique about them—lower jackpots but fantastic odds of winning. Each lottery hosted by the site has a set number of tickets allocated per draw (the highest ticket amount being only 20,000). This means that purchasing any of these tickets will lead to much higher odds of winning. For instance, purchasing one ticket in the €5 game will give you odds of 1 in 5,000. By comparison, odds of winning the US Powerball are 1 in 292,201,338.
There are five lotteries available on Honeypot Lotto:
- €1 Game: The available jackpot is €1,000, and there are only 2,000 tickets available per draw.
- €5 Game: The available jackpot is €10,000, and there are only 5,000 tickets available per draw.
- €10 Game: The available jackpot is €20,000, and there are only 15,000 tickets available per draw.
- €20 Game: The available jackpot is €40,000, and there are only 20,000 tickets available per draw.
- €100 Game: The available jackpot is €100,000, and there are only 5,000 tickets available per draw.
Honeypotlotto.com Extras
Considering the site is quite new, and so focused on doing what they do offer properly, we are not surprised that there are no extras offered.
Payment/Withdrawal Options
Payments are securely handled by Visa and Mastercard. Unfortunately, it looks like if you do not have a Visa or Mastercard payment method, you will not be able to play because there are no other supported options.*
Due to the way winnings are claimed (which is covered below), there are no withdrawal options.
*It must be said that while reviewing the site for this article, the payment methods were not working on the site at all, and it was impossible to pay for tickets. Hopefully, this has since been fixed.
How to Claim Your Winnings
While the rest of the site is already easy to use, claiming winnings might actually be one of the easiest things to do. All winnings will automatically be paid out within ten days of the draw taking place and a winner being chosen. All winnings will be paid directly to the Visa or Mastercard that is used to purchase tickets on the winner’s account.
Customer Support
There are hardly any customer support options available. While there is a handy ‘How to Play’ guide that explains all the basics, the only other customer support option visible is an online form. The terms and conditions also hold the support email: howcanwehelp@honeypotlotto.com. None of these options have any stated timeframe for support requests to be dealt with.
Welcome Bonuses/Promotions
There are no welcome bonuses or promotions available on the site.
Rules and Regulations

Honeypotlotto.com Review Conclusion
Honeypotlotto.com is bursting out and trying to launch something new—a lotto with lower jackpots but much higher odds. While the lack of payment methods and the mystery about how the draws take place do place a damper on things, we overall still recommend taking a look at the site to see if it’s something you could get behind. After all, the odds of winning are by far the best of all of the international lotteries we’ve ever reviewed—and that’s definitely saying something.
