7 Boom Scratch Card Review
A good scratch card needs a few distinct things in order to be considered excellent. To begin with, it needs to have great graphics, a decent jackpot, be easy to play, and have a generous RTP percentage. In this 7 Boom scratch card review, we will look at if this scratcher lives up to these expectations and how you can use it to win yourself some cash.
Gameplay
The gameplay of 7 Boom is straightforward. When starting the game, you will need to decide on the bet amount that you would like to play per card. This is chosen from a set list of bet amounts that are discussed later on in this review.
After you have chosen your bet amount, you will need to select how many lines you would like to play with. Each line gives you two chances at winning some money, and the maximum amount of lines you are able to select is seven (giving you 14 chances of winning).
Once these parameters are entered, play begins by tapping the “Play” button at the bottom of the scratch area. Tapping this will activate the scratcher and allow you to start playing. To play, you can either choose to hit the “Reveal All” button (which will instantly show you if you are a winner), or you can click on each line individually to reveal the prizes hidden beneath.
Each line consists of two columns. The first column will display a mathematical sum as well as a prize amount. If the sum is equal to seven, you win the prize that is shown. The second column will display a single number and a prize amount. If the number displayed is a seven, then you will win the monetary value uncovered, just as with the first column.
Whether you have won something is clear to see due to the banner that will appear in the centre of the screen. In addition to this, all winning symbols will flash and have a cool spotlight effect added to them. All this together means that you will be hard-pressed not to realise that you are a winner.
Graphics
7 Boom has graphics that are nice to look at but nothing special when compared to some other online scratch cards. The graphics on display are well rendered, but the animations are lacking slightly due to the animations mentioned above that appear when you win being the only ones present in the whole game.
Scratching the surface of the card will result in a cool scratching sound being played, and winning will result in a nifty tune to alert you to your win. These sounds, however, are the only noises the game makes. Disappointingly, there is also no background music.
Prizes, Odds, and Return-to-Player (RTP) Percentage
Depending on your bet amount, the jackpot could range from €1,000 (on the minimum bet) to €100,000 (on the maximum bet). RTP percentage is a respectable 93.5%—something that makes the game worth playing in and of itself.
There are 11 different tiers that make up the pay table. Each tier has a set amount of prizes and their own multiplier that is applied to the bet amount to calculate the total winnings. These tiers are detailed below:
Tier | Prizes Available | Multiplier Applied: |
1 | 2 | X 10,000 |
2 | 10 | X 1,000 |
3 | 200 | X 200 |
4 | 10,000 | X 100 |
5 | 50,000 | X 50 |
6 | 150,000 | X 20 |
7 | 120,000 | X 10 |
8 | 100,000 | X 5 |
9 | 120,000 | X 4 |
10 | 150,000 | X 2 |
11 | 300,000 | X 1 |
Cost to Play
As mentioned earlier in this review, there is a set list of bet amounts that you can choose to play with. These bet amounts are:
- €0.50
- €1
- €2
- €5
- €10
- €20 (only VIP players have access to this bet option)
If you would not like to pay before trying the game, there is a demo option of the game available that allows you to play an unlimited amount of scratchers. Considering most free plays grant only five scratch cards, this is quite generous.
Supported Platforms
Any PC that has an up-to-date web browser and a decent Internet connection can access the game—which is also supported by mobile device browsers for when you want to play while you are away from your computer.
Bottom Line — Is 7 Boom Scratch Card Worth Playing?
7 Boom goes a long way in ticking every box of what makes a scratcher great. While it could be improved by some background music and a few more animations, the game is solid overall. It also does not hurt that the jackpot when playing on the maximum bet stands at €100,000. Moreover, while some may complain that to stand a chance of winning this will cost €10 per card, it is excusable considering the significant RTP percentage of the game.
